Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) is used to visually inspect plant components for surface defects, general condition, degradation, blockages, and foreign material. It can be used as a stand-alone inspection or as a complement to other Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) techniques, such as eddy-current, ultrasonic, or X-ray, in order to qualify unclear signals or pinpoint where a more thorough inspection is needed.
Core VIS provides 24/7 same-day or next-day service, 365 days a year, with service coverage throughout North America. We have one of the largest and most diverse RVI equipment pools in the world, and we offer easy-to-understand, comprehensive, and competitive rates.
We have a team of highly skilled and specialized RVI technicians that are capable of performing a multitude of inspection procedures. We safety train our technicians through completion of the OSHA 10-hour initial and eight-hour annual refresher courses. We will document your inspection results via video tape or digital media as well as provide detailed reports and written inspection summaries. Plus, we will provide technical and engineering support for unique RVI applications such as high-heat, high-pressure, underwater, and other special applications.
In addition to our standard RVI inspections, we offer a full range of Foreign Object Search And Retrieval (FOSAR) services that will locate and remove unwanted foreign material from your system. With our capable staff of trained and experienced technicians and our vast inventory of state-of-the-art retrieval tools, we have a greater than 99% retrieval success rate.
